Lucky Fried Chicken

If you do one thing this coming week make your way to Kentish town for some Lucky Fried Chicken goodness while you still can! Why this week? Well taking inspiration from a certain Colonel in name and theme has meant that this new residency by the team behind Lucky Chip in the Grafton pub is doomed to be a brief but brilliant pop up before they start serving their equally amazing, and in my opinion best in London, burgers there. Whether you go all out on a bucket or like me and my friend on this occasion go for a more modestly sized snack box, fried chicken is the clear star of the show here. Even I as only occassional eater of chicken was completely won over by this tender, non greasy and perfectly seasoned chicken that was worth looking rather inelegant when eating for ( I challenge anyone to gnaw on a bone in a ladylike way). The sides are equally good, little touches like the bread rolls, best dipped into the gravy and mash or the fragrant BBQ baked beans make this a truly pimped up, high quality take on the usual fried chicken establishments. Much like with Lucky Chip and Slider bar they have managed to once more deliver creative, comforting and reasoanbly priced food (you will be hard pushed to spend over £15 with a whole lot of chicken) that while sadly won't be around for too much longer is definitely worth the trip. Go while you can!

Bright Things
For day 4 I had a look around the exhibits on offer at Somerset house and as a bit of a sucker for a statement necklaces, these  Shourouk pieces immediately caught my eye. Striking the right balance between girly and modern (I particularly love the Perspex detail on some of them), they incooperate beautiful colours to make striking pieces of jewellery that would transform any outfit into something quite special.
Bejewelled
I have always been a big fan of Mawi Jewellery with its heavy duty, high end look so I was rather intrigued to see how this look would translate into clutches. Glittery, embellished and with eye catching neon zips these bags should look ridiculously over the top but they really work. Dream clutch territory.
Sunny-side
Over the last few days Somerset House has luckily been bathed in sunshine which meant  everyone got out their sunnies despite the still  freezing temperatures. This being fashion week of course we aren't talking your run of the mill ray bans, whether with Perspex detail, angular frrames or blue lenses these sunglasses are a great way to add colour and interfering details to an outfit.
Pepsi Power
My friend and fellow blogger Kate shows how to not take fashion too serious by combining her vintage Pepsi print jumper with a real life Pepsi can! People can forget that fashion should be fun and not about having a look that will get you photographed around LFW and Kate definitely put a smile on my face with this ensemble!

LFW Day 3

Seeking Stylish Males
For day three I went on a hunt for the top men's street style looks around Somerset house. It's not easy for guys to look fashionable without looking flamboyant and I think a lot more of them need to dare to dress in a more fashion forward and less safe way. This hunt actually inspired me and a few fellow fashion loving girls to start a side project of finding London's best dressed guys to dispel stereotypes and show that they do exist around town so watch this space! Here my favourites from yesterday:

Tattoo Inspiration
facing the camera more often than not these days it's always nice to see something a bit different when looking at the lens and this tattoo definitely does the trick!
